Grow on the Go is a flexible, bite-sized course helping farmers and agri-food professionals build resilient, sustainable systems. Through four 30-minute modules, learners explore water protection, low-input farming, ethical dairy, and regenerative soil practices for a sustainable future.

In Popielno, in the heart of the Masurian region, the jubilee celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the reserve breeding of the Polish Konik, conducted by the Research Station of the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, took place. The GROW project actively participated in the event, presenting the latest solutions supporting regenerative agriculture and knowledge exchange among farmers.

The GROW project was showcased at the AgroWarma fair as an initiative supporting farmers in adopting regenerative practices and increasing farm profitability. The booth featured interactive workshops where scientists demonstrated step by step how modern technologies support cattle breeding. Participants observed reproductive cells under a microscope, learned about their storage in liquid nitrogen and post-thaw quality assessment, and explored the full procedure of in vitro embryo production.

Culinary congress promoting sustainable gastronomy, innovation, and responsible food systems

This session, led by Mary Ann Alexander, guided farmers through understanding Soil Nutrient Health Scheme (SNHS) soil reports, the importance of pH and lime, and how to sample and manage each field effectively. Participants learned how to use soil data to improve fertility, nutrient efficiency and environmental compliance.

Topics covered range from agrifood technology and sustainable agriculture to consumer behaviour and personalised nutrition.

Dr Paul Williams explored how managing carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus more efficiently is essential for future farm resilience. The session highlighted changing fertiliser availability, the value of accurate soil testing, and the role of recycled nutrients and carbon-rich soils in reducing costs, improving yields and supporting environmental goals.

This session explored how trees, hedgerows and soil microbes improve soil structure, nutrient cycling, carbon storage and farm resilience. Farmers learned how boosting biodiversity above and below ground strengthens productivity and reduces input reliance.
